Summary: Design, engineering and technical support for existing and new equipment utilizing active magnetic bearings, motor/drive systems and PLC's. Position located in Staunton, VA
Responsibilities:
o Support manufacturing, installation, commissioning, modification and troubleshooting of new products in manufacturing operations and customer sites.
o Determines methods, procedures for prototype testing, designs test control apparatus and equipment and directs test activities to ensure testing of prototypes conforms to the functional specifications.
o Authors test schedules and directs on-site testing and test report generation
o Participates in and contributes to technical design reviews
o Regularly communicates product operational and reliability performance to the organization (Engineering, Manufacturing, and Business Development).
Requirements:
o BSEE or BSME
o Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the design, development, testing of active magnetic bearing systems on high speed rotating equipment.
o Knowledge related to power electronics, motors, and VFD's. Products and industries which utilize this technology include Energy, Waste Heat Recovery, Oil & Gas, HVAC, and turbo-machinery.
o Familiar with typical test instruments such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, etc.
o Able to use basic shop tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, micrometers, etc.
o Experience in Chiller manufacturing and operation is a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
